Onshore Service Technician


Job Description

Qualifications/Experience: The ideal candidate will be qualified to HNC level with several years’ experience gained within a fabrication/mechanical and hydraulic environment. Small bore pipe work experience and welding capability would be beneficial.

Offshore experience will be an advantage although training will be given to the right candidate. The incumbent will also be required maintain medical fitness levels in order that the required offshore medical documentation can be maintained.

Role:

To service all offshore equipment for readiness to go offshore and to supervise the installation of OSI products offshore when required.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Test and service all offshore department equipment (including full strip and rebuilding of tooling). Ideally welding as required.
  • Maintenance of all service records
  • Manifest of all equipment going to and returning from offshore
  • Work within all Company and client safety procedures and work instructions
  • Promote team working within the Offshore Running Team and whilst on client platforms
  • Undertake work offshore as per operational requirements
  • Other duties as maybe required.
  • QA:

  • Ensure all QA and departmental procedures and policies are implemented and adhered to in order to maintain the current ISO/OHSAS quality standards.

  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain customer relationships on a business and social level.
  • Evaluate competitors’ market share, products, pricing etc.
  • To develop self within role.
  • To create and maintain good working relationships.
  • To remain flexible in approach. HSE:
  • Ensure all departmental personnel, visitors and subcontractors fulfil responsibilities under the Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and ensure so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of the team. In particular giving full attention to:
  • Risk Assessments/COSHH Assessments and the control measures identified therein
  • Compliance with all HSE warning and information signs
  • Compliance with all Company assigned PPE requirements
  • Ensure all departmental personnel, visitors and subcontractors fulfil responsibilities with all Company Environmental Initiatives, in particular:
  • Waste segregation – paper, metals, wood, oils etc
  • Desired Qualities / Qualifications
